Light up your life with us this Diwali

Diwali is a festival of lights enjoyed for five days, every year by millions of people across the world. It’s an explosion of colour, light and taste as families and friends get together to celebrate a very special time of the year.

It symbolises the triumph of light over darkness, of good over evil and of knowledge over ignorance. As it is a time of new beginnings, the whole family prays together to invoke bountifulness and plentifulness for the coming year.

The days preceding Diwali are a celebrated time to get together with friends and family over delicious, traditional food. It culminates in a feast on Diwali night where joy, love and fun are expressed through food, which is why we have created some truly wonderful recipes that are guaranteed to be impressive dinner-party centrepieces.

Special dishes for a very special occasion

Our Cauliflower Kofta is a versatile dish which is great for vegetarians, but can be enjoyed by all. Add these small balls bursting with flavour to a delicious sauce, and enjoy its unique texture and taste. Achari Chicken With Cashew Nut Sauce is a feast for the eyes and palette. Blending textures, spices and flavours, it has a depth and taste to liven the senses.

Both dishes would be the jewels in the crowning glory of a Diwali feast, but the table and meal will be truly complete when chapattis, puris, paranthas, or naans accompany them. Family and loved ones are together, so make amazing food to share, together.

Using Elephant Atta Chakki Gold makes the softest, fluffiest chapattis which are as healthy as they are tasty. Made with 100% whole-wheat stoneground flour we think they’re easy to make, but if you are new to chapatti making, our guest chef has some fantastic tips for you to make them perfect!
